The Cannery

The Cannery is the local bar on Harper's Island, run by Nikki Bolton.
Background
The Cannery was once frequented mostly by local fishermen, but, in recent years, since Nikki inherited the bar after the death of her father, it has become a hang-out for the Island's young people.
Recent Events
In "Whap," Abby Mills goes to the Cannery to check on Henry Dunn's brother, J.D.. There, as she plays pool with Jimmy Mance, J.D. gets into a fight with Shane Pierce, and Abby tries to break up the fight with a pool cue, until she is stopped by her father, Sheriff Charlie Mills.
In "Crackle," the Cannery is one of the designated locations for a scavenger hunt planned by Henry Dunn and Trish Wellington for their wedding guests. While the blue team (Abby, Richard Allen, Lucy Daramour, and Cal Vandeusen) tries to answer questions posed by Nikki, drinking a shot for each wrong answer, Kelly Seaver approaches Abby, and the two discuss their lives following their mothers' murders. Kelly later startles Abby in the restroom, telling her that she has seen John Wakefield. Their conversation is interrupted by Shane Pierce, who teases them about the deaths of their mothers.
In "Bang," Abby and Nikki discuss the scrapbook Abby is making as a wedding gift, when Jimmy enters, making a delivery. Abby then accompanies Jimmy on his delivery route. Later that evening, at the Cannery, two men with guns enter the bar and ask for Christopher "Sully" Sullivan, revealing that they are the bouncers for the stripper he has hired for the bachelor party. Stacy DeKnight the stripper recognizes Henry as a friend of her older brother and shows off. Stacy later hits on Cal, to Sully's disbelief.
In "Sploosh," Cal and Chloe Carter arrive at the Cannery after returning from their sailing outing. Cal discovers that the diamond engagement ring he lost earlier has been found by a local couple who recently became engaged, and he tries unsuccessfully to get it back. Chloe resolves to reclaim her ring and approaches the engaged couple as they are dancing and pretends to have been cheated on. She tells the man that she is carrying his baby, and his fiancée angrily throws the ring. Cal snatches the ring, and he and Chloe quickly leave.
In "Snap," after the Marina explodes and the group comes under sniper fire, they seek cover inside the Cannery. Nikki arrives, and the group decides to use Nikki's car to access a sailboat with which to escape from the Island. Maggie Krell leaves the safety of the Cannery and is hanged from its roof. After the group creates a diversion by throwing Molotov cocktails into the parking lot, Sully and Cal drive away in search of the boat. Later, an unconscious Jimmy is delivered to the Cannery by a Sheriff's vehicle, and, after bringing him inside, the group discovers the key to Abby's room at the Candlewick Inn taped to his hand. Abby leaves the Cannery alone to answer the invitation.
In "Splash," John Wakefield breaks into the Cannery and kills Nikki. Shane fights with Wakefield, as Chloe, Shea Allen, and Madison begin climbing out a bathroom window, while Trish covers the bathroom door with a shotgun. Wakefield wounds Shane and then breaks into the bathroom, cornering Trish, but Shane appears, distracting Wakefield, allowing Trish to escape. Henry, Abby, and Danny Brooks later arrive at the Cannery and find Shane's body strung up over an oar.

The building shown as The Cannery in the Harper's Island television series is the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on Bowen Island, BC, Canada.
