Characters are listed by series for main characters; minor or shared characters are listed in a separate section.
Note: Theories related to who will die or who is the killer in Harper's Island should not be included, as they are implied for all 25 main characters.

- J.D. has terminal cancer, and has to take all his meds to be able to function. (His medication is for depression, among other things.)
- J.D. wrote the word PSYCHO in deer blood on Shane Pierce's windshield. (This was done by either Henry or Wakefield.)
- J.D. put the deer head in Henry's tub to set up Shane. (Same as above.)
