Karen Dunn (credited as Cheryl Dunn) was the mother of J.D. Dunn and the adoptive mother of Henry Dunn. She was also the wife of Frank Dunn. Karen died of an unknown cause.
Frank and Karen Dunn lived in Tacoma, Washington, where they were both teachers at Tacoma North High School. They adopted Henry from Sarah Mills, who wanted to protect her child from his biological father, John Wakefield. The Dunns worked summers on Harper's Island, bringing the entire family, allowing Henry to spend time with his birth mother and her family, including her daughter, Abby Mills.
