Charlie Mills's Attic
From Harper's Globe Wiki
In "Thwack", it is revealed that Sheriff Charlie Mills has been secretly obsessing over the 2001 murders in his attic.
The attic can be divided into three general locations: an ongoing Wakefield investigation, possible copycat murders, and Mills's desk.
Wakefield Investigation
In the area devoted to the Wakefield murders, several articles are seen. Interspersed with the articles are a map of where the murders occurred, crime scene photos from the Tree of Woe, Sarah Mills's autopsy photos, Sarah Mills's official autopsy report, and copies of Wakefield's public record. Several filing cabinets are seen to the right of the bulletin board containing this information.
Copycat Murders
In a cabinet hidden to the side of the attic, Mills has organized multiple articles and investigation materials which he seems to think could indicate a Wakefield copycat. The materials are divided by year, from 2004 through 2008, and include autopsy photos, such as Kelly Seaver's.
Mills's Desk
On Mills's desk is a laptop, with a note regarding 2005 on the monitor. Nearby are several jars of rubber bands and high-intensity lights with magnifying glasses. Articles and crime scene photos are piled on the desk. In the drawers are multiple hanging files, including one containing a copy of Wakefield's public record.
Found on the desk in "Sploosh" were several postcards from Seattle addressed to Mills, all reading "LIAR" in red ink. A fingerprint analysis from June 29, 2006 found ten points of similarity (and a 96.3% probable) match with Wakefield. A picture from Tacoma taken June 29, 2008 shows a figure at a gathering appearing eerily similar to Wakefield.
