Beth Barrington

Beth Barrington was a bridesmaid and Trish Wellington's former college roommate. Beth was discovered dead in "Seep."
On the Island
In "Whap," as the Tarapunga boards in Seattle, Beth and Lucy Daramour are frightened by Madison Allen, who pretends she has a severed finger in a box. Later, on the boat ride to Harper's Island, Chloe Carter tells Beth and Lucy about the John Wakefield murders. As she mentions that Abby Mills's mother was a victim, a seagull lands between them. At the dinner that evening at the Candlewick Inn, Beth and Lucy question Abby about her friendship with the groom, Henry Dunn.
In "Crackle," Beth is a member of the red team for the scavenger hunt, along with Shea and Madison Allen and Malcolm Ross. In a cut scene from "Crackle", Beth bonds with Malcolm over her weight as a child. This bond is seen in later episodes.
In "Ka-Blam," Beth and the groomsmen join Abby in the pool at the Inn. Later, Trish shows off her wedding dress to Beth and Shea, and Beth confronts Trish about a phone call Trish received from Hunter Jennings.
After the murder of Thomas Wellington at the wedding rehearsal, Beth, Malcolm, Christopher "Sully" Sullivan, and Danny Brooks discuss the murder ("Sploosh"). A worried Beth attempts unsuccessfully to contact Lucy. Malcolm attempts to comfort her and tells her that Joel Booth had to go home.
In "Thrack, Splat, Sizzle," Beth stops by Malcolm's room and thanks him for having comforted her the previous day. Preoccupied with trying to conceal the money that he and the other groomsmen found, Malcolm does not pick up on Beth's desire to extend their relationship.
In "Gurgle," as the wedding guests prepare to leave the Island, Madison is reported missing, and Beth joins Sully and Danny to help search for her. As they search rooms at the Inn, they note that Malcolm's bag is still in his room. Beth, Danny, and Sully search for Madison in the kitchen, and Beth looks in the walk-in cooler. She notices a clear tarp covering a small flesh-colored figure in the refrigerator and fears that it may be Madison's body. She uncovers it, and discovers that it is merely a pig. Later, Sully leads Beth, Chloe, and Cal Vandeusen to the Marina to find a boat with which to escape from the Island. After Sully finds a boat, Beth joins Cal and Chloe in questioning whether they should leave.
In "Seep," Beth and Sully return to the Inn, and Shea argues with Sully about attempting to leave with Madison still missing. Beth, Danny, and Sully go into the kitchen, resolving to stay there until morning, but Sully and Danny return to the lobby when they hear Henry arguing with Shane Pierce. Later, when Shane denies Abby reentry to the Inn, Henry begins a fight with Shane, forcing Danny and Sully to break it up. Suddenly, Sully realizes Beth has gone missing. Returning to the kitchen, Danny and Sully find Beth's lantern, broken on the floor, and blood coming from under a nearby door. They break open the door, and Sully searches the refrigerator, as Danny notes more blood. The others come into the kitchen, and Danny catches them up on the situation. Trish discovers that the blood seems to be coming from below a cart, which Henry moves out of the way, searching the wall behind it. He discovers a latch and opens a section of the wall as a door, revealing an entrance to a system of underground tunnels. Danny, Sully, Henry, Abby, and Jimmy Mance enter the tunnels to search for Beth.
Death
During the search for Beth in the underground tunnels, the group finds two blood trails going in opposite directions. Danny and Sully split off from the others and follow one blood trail. Danny spots a splash of blood at the edge of a crawlspace and enters. At an intersection in the crawlspace, Danny finds the top of Beth's body nearby, her lower half and left arm missing.
